She snuggles messy kids

M snuggles our little ones; when they really need her, sheer doesn't let mud, syrup or something even less pleasant get in the way.

Case in point, this morning our baby woke up in her own vomit. M snuggled her anyway until we were able to make it all better.

Doesn't give up (even though she is tempted)

M gets tired - deep down, will-sucking, faith shaking, soul-rending tired.

The children won't listen to her; I may not listen to her; at times it must seem as though even He has stopped listening to her. I know from conversations with her that she has had enough; she's tempted to give up. Thank Heaven she doesn't. She is a tremendous force for good in our family despite here inner struggles and the demons of her doubt.

Teaches About the Sabbath

M shows our children how to keep the Sabbath holy.

She could lecture about what activities to avoid. Instead she takes time out of her "day of rest" to model proper Sunday activities by spending time doing those things with them.

Gets Excited About New Things

M started a new endeavor today, her excitement was contagious.

One of my favorite things about M is how exited she gets for projects and events. She likes getting things done, worked-on, or even started - she's equal opportunity like that.

Wants a Better Life for Her Kids

M often voices her fears for our childrens' futures; I'm glad she and I agree that it might get rough for them.

M is always thinking about our kids, how they interact with each other, what they want to do for a living, etc. It's what makes her such a good mom.

She Makes Me Look Good

M made treats without my asking for one of my meetings today, so I looked pretty put together and on top of things.

Really, M just makes me look better than I really am - it doesn't really matter which situation we're in.

Stuck Up for Me with the Kids

One daughter misbehaved all day, but M seemed most upset that she was rude to me.

I felt M showed me a great kindness by teaching our children that the rudeness to their father was a bad thing. I think M felt worse about it than I did.
